Volleyball Referee

A Volleyball Referee officiates matches and is responsible for keeping score.

Duties:

  • Watch the court during rallies
  • Keep score
  • Ensure game rules are being followed
  • Make calls when rules are broken
  • Indicate the start and end of a game
  • Settle claims of infractions or complaints
  • Inspect sports equipment to ensure organization’s specifications are met

Required:

  • High-school graduate with basic math and computer skills
  • Organization skills
  • Basic math/accounting
  • Take charge attitude
  • Walking and standing for extended period of times
  • Team player who coordinates well with others
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment
  • Punctual

Fatmobile Driver

Becoming “The Fatman” and driving The Fatmobile requires a lot. Skill behind the wheel, a clean driving record, being a person of the people, and keeping the city safe.

Duties:

  • Ensuring the safety of customers, drivers, and pedestrians at all times. Drivers should ensure they drive safely and legally, but also that no passenger possesses weapons or illicit substances.
  • Checking IDs to ensure that only those who are of legal drinking age are served alcohol
  • Providing shuttle services at special events; interacting with security staff there and communicating with them about any concerns
  • Maintaining order on the bus by monitoring the activities of customers and employees
  • Checking for signs of intoxication and removing obviously intoxicated patrons from the bus

Required:

  • Legal/Valid/Active Driver’s License
  • Clean driving record (Insurance purposes)
  • Take-charge attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (blocking the street parking)
  • Team player who coordinates well with others
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment

Bartender

We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to join our amazing team! If you love making excellent drinks and creating a great atmosphere, we want you! If you also have some knowledge in mixing drinks and ingredients, that is a big plus.

Duties:

  • Your main goal will be to make our customers happy and satisfied.
  • Knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Mix traditional and creative cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Process payment from customers
  • Clean glasses and bar utensils
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
  • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and focus on the guests to provide an exceptional guest experience
  • Help increase bar sales or reduce bar costs.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • Offer daily specials
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Knowledge of a second language (preferably Spanish) is a big plus
  • Bonus points for having a current Milwaukee Bartending License

Barback

A Barback is an assistant to the Bartender. They ensure bartenders have the supplies they need to provide service to customers.

A Barback has many responsibilities like stocking, restocking and keeping their work area clean. Barbacks flit from bar station to bar station, refilling garnishes, stacking napkins, hauling kegs, washing dishes, and chatting amiably with customers who have questions.

Duties:

  • Restocking cans, ice, liquor bottles and changing kegs.Cleaning bar, table surfaces and work areas throughout the shift.
  • Wiping down chairs, railings, and other high-touch surfaces.
  • Removing and disposing of bags from trash receptacles in and around the bar and volleyball areas.
  • Removing used glassware and trash from customers’ table during their stay.
  • Sweep/mop around bar service areas and customer common areas.
  • Stocking bar items such as glassware, plastic cups, straws, toothpicks, napkins, garnishes, ice, towels, and cleaning supplies (this may include restocking for bar opening or closing).
  • Ensuring that taps, coolers, and other appliances like blenders or coffee makers are working properly; troubleshooting simple malfunctions as needed.
  • Answering customer questions and routing customer complaints to the appropriate staff member.
  • Learning cocktail recipes and other menu items to help guide customers
  • Assisting bartenders with taking customer orders and processing orders in the point-of-sale system *during peak business hours*

Bouncer

A bouncer’s duties are to provide security, to check legal age and drinking age, to refuse entry for intoxicated persons, and to deal with aggressive behavior or disobedience with statutory or establishment rules. They’re tasked with keeping the peace by breaking up fights, stopping people from entering without a ticket, and ensuring that everyone has a good time but doesn’t get out of hand.

Duties:

  • Ensuring the safety of customers by maintaining a secure environment, such as performing pat downs for weapons or scanning bags for illicit substances
  • Checking IDs to ensure that only those who are of legal drinking age are served alcohol
  • Interacting with security staff, including monitoring their activities, providing backup, and communicating with them about any concerns
  • Enforcing rules regarding dress code, minimum age requirements for entry, and other regulations
  • Providing security services at special events
  • Maintaining order in the establishment by monitoring the activities of customers and employees
  • Checking for signs of intoxication and removing obviously intoxicated patrons from the premises
